Guided Hiking Trails

Guided hike

Get a fresh perspective, absorb ancient knowledge, and rediscover classic survival techniques in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Sylvia Reed, the Indigenous owner and operator of Wild Walks Excursions, connects guests with the environment through guided hiking excursions and medicinal walks across Reed’s traditional regions.

Following in her family’s traditions as a traditional guide, Reed offers various opportunities for travellers to learn about the area and how her ancestors lived off the land for millennia.

Visitors will learn about the region’s flora through unconventional identification methods taught through hands-on experiences and connecting with the ground, as well as unique teachings passed down through generations.

On medicine walks, visitors will be able to harvest and conserve indigenous plants while learning how to produce cures from the soil.
