Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park is a National Historic Location located on the site of the signing of Treaty No.7. This park, located about an hour’s drive from Calgary, is dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the Siksika Nation’s language, culture, and customs. It has a beautiful eco-friendly museum with interactive displays illustrating the evolution of Siksika First Nation culture. You may sample indigenous dishes at the on-site restaurant, while items from the gift store are obtained locally. You may also schedule indoor guided tours with dance and artisan performances with Siksika guides in advance. Outside, a self-guided tour of the several historic sites is offered, with trail signs explaining the significance of each area.
